Very good barrels for the price...

If you don't mind the muzzle blast that comes with the Carbine length barrel length, its a solid choice...

Good luck.

carbine length barrel, or gas system?

are you saying a 20" barrel has a 'softer' felt muzzle blast?

The Carbine length barrels (16" or shorter) really have harsh muzzle blast/report...The Carbine length
gas system is also harsher and wears faster than a Mid-length or Rifle gas system...So, yes the original
Rifle length gas system as designed by E. Stoner is generally the best and is the "softer" shooter of the
bunch.

I have a 14.5 made by them and its great at 300, and I'm sure would be accurate at 600 as well.

I have an 18" BHW barrel on my precision AR and it's a tack driver.
