Just got a ARMALITE AR-10A4F was wondering what kind of bipod works best on these rifles. Does not have front site but does have place to mount one. Can I find one to fit without getting a new rail?

Harris bipods are my vote. What do you mean it has a place? Does your rifle have a mounting stud?

I am new to the AR's so was not sure how would be the best way to mount a bi-pod. Was not sure how they would mount to sling mount on these rifles.

I own Harris pods in LT mounts and they are nice, but the BOBRO bi pod is REALLY nice. I am waiting on new production so I can grab a couple.

Harris bi-pods are the bee's knees

however I picked one of these up (I don't keep it on the gun), it was super cheap and is easy to use.....does the job right....who cares about everything else...

but if you want to keep it simple you could always pick up one of these

I use one of the grip pods shown above on my 16" AR10 carbine and for my 20" and 24" rifles I have a Harris bipod on a Larue mount so I can easily swap it from one gun to another. Personal taste is what it comes down to. If you have a short CQB rifle and you like a forward grip then go with a grip pod and get both in one package. If you plan on your rifle being mostly a bench gun then a regular bipod is the way to go. My only AR15 with a bipod is a 24" rifle. The 20" is a DCM rifle with FF tube, the carbines are short range setups and I don't use a bipod on those, although now that I have a grip pod on my AR10 carbine I might just get one for one of the AR15 carbines. I really like that setup.

I plan on using for longer range shooting. Rifle has a 20in barrell. was not sure if it mounts on sling stud or have to mount on rail. It has standard rail on gun. It will stay on gun will not be swapping it between rifles. How and where do yours mount? You said you have a LaRue mount. Is that on forearm of rifle or a separate mount you can buy? I am new to AR's and not familiar with all the goodies. I do have a AR-15 but it is standard rifle I use for hogs yotes and playing at range.

I like Harris bi-pods.

Harris sells a stud adaptor for the AR that mounts to standard forearms if that's what you have.

You won't need the sling swivel.

Here's my ArmaLite with the stud installed and it's Harris bi-pod.

king do you know when they are suppose to be avaiable again????  I was looking at them on Rainier last month and was going to buy one but didn't pull the trigger and today I went back to look and I can't get them.  Is the new production going to be a Gen 4 or just more Gen 3's?

If you don't mind on spending the money I would go with the bobro.  I checked one out from my neighbor and they are sharp!

Does anyone know when the BOBRO bipod will be available?

Thanks,

Thanks,

I just talked to someone at Rainer and they said they were filling military order and not to expect them for at least 6 months, but that could be wrong FWIW
