Recently I have seen the t.v. commercials about the various scopes offered by BSA. I must admit that the prices seem quite attractive. I know that they will not be in the same class as a Aimpoint but for someone on a tight budget, it could be a good purchase.
I would hope to get some product ratings from someone with first hand experience BSA optics before i make a purchase. |
| I think im the only one who has had good luck with one. I have 4-16 BSA on a remington 700. still shoots MOA when i do my part. POI doesnt change with power adjustments. But ive only shot it out to 200. My only complaint is that its HUGE. I agree about the nikon prostaff. Got one on my 10/22. great scope. |

There are two ways this will turn out,
1. You buy the BSA, it doesnt hold zero, so you buy a more expensive optic. 2. The BSA fits your needs so you keep it for a while, then one day at the range you look through a better quality optic and shit bricks... Either direction leads you to a higher quality optic eventually. I started with a leapers scope, then looked through an ACOG... I'm picking my TA31F RCO up Sunday. Or you can get a used Comp M on EE for ~$200.00. I'm not sure if your going red dot or magnified but the point remains. If you can't afford $200.00 on optic on a $1,000.00 rifle you've got more pressing problems then shooting your AR. |
| two low cost quality scopes cheapest is Simmons prairie master from Natchez shooters supply. a bit more is the nikkon sterling series. both good quality scopes that wont break the bank.another that i just remembered is the Mueller scopes.None will let you count the whiskers on a gopher but all will allow you to shoot it. |
