I just bought a BCM 14.5" carbine length upper (waiting for it to come in) to mount to my Aero Precision lower. I currently have a Sprinco Blue spring with a Spike's T2 Buffer that I ran on a mid length upper. Anyone have experience with this buffer/spring setup on a carbine length gas system?

I used the blue spring and T2 buffer in my carbine and was satisfied with the results. It seemed to soften up the recoil a bit and functioned 100%. I initially had the two components in a midlength and couldn't get through 10 rounds without it jamming up. The shell would extract and the front of it would go upwards jamming into the inside front of the charging handle. The rear of the shell was pressed against the lower half of the bolt face which wouldn't allow you to pull back the charging handle. Why it did this I don't know? I went back to a carbine buffer and standard spring and all is well again...

With my 6920's I've recently experimented w/the std & Sprinco Blue springs in combination w/the H, H2 & H3 buffers using PMC .223 & Prvi Partizan M193 5.56. All combos were 100% reliable, locking the bolt back each time w/all empties ejecting to about my 4-4:30 appx 8' away.
With the PMC .223, the H2 & H3 w/Sprinco handled identically for me. However, w/the Prvi Partian 5.56 I found the H3 w/Sprinco handled a bit better than the H2/Sprinco combo. In my case I see no reason not to stick w/the H3/Sprinco Blue combo but YMMV.
HTH...

14.5" carbine gas system with a .062"/.063" gas port diameter.

BCM H2 buffer and Tactical Springs (Sprinco USA) blue action spring (cryo-treated for $2 extra), 5-coil extractor spring, extractor insert, viton o-ring, and enhanced ejector spring. And, a RCA (Blacknitride+) enhanced bcg (M16 profile).

I have shot with this setup American Eagle AE223 55 gr., Federal XM193 55 gr., Federal XM855 62 gr., and Georgia Arms SS-109 62 gr. (Lake City Brass Reloads). Below are two pictures of the same 11 fired rounds shown next to 1 unfired round from the setup above to show that an AR that is timed correctly does not chew up the rims as some say on here when using a 5-coil extractor spring, extractor spring insert, and viton o-ring
