Just got a new colt match target 20" fullstock nib. When the bolt goes foward I hear the spring. I have 1 other ar, a bushy with a telestock and I do not hear it . Is this normal
on a2 stocks? I have not fired it yet so I am not sure if this effecting function.

Completely normal and completely AWESOME. Embrace the sproing as other great men have in history. It is the sound of old school freedom. Some commy types like to put lithium grease on the spring to dampen the sound of freedom.

I also like how it makes it even easier to tell when the last round has been fired, no sproing and different feel.

Another reason why I like telestocks. no spring noise and faster cycle

It's a spring! Inspect it. If it looks good, it more than likely is good.  Love it and shoot it. Look at the noise it makes as music. Enjoy.

Sometimes a little grease will quite it down.
I can hear it on a carbine or a rifle.
