| I have a Stag 7H in 6.8 SPC. I am mounting a scope but would also like to put a set of bius on it. I would like to get the Magpul Gen 2 but noticed the upper receiver and the gas block rail are not on the same plane. The gas block rail is lower. Will the front site post screw out enough to compensate for the lower rail? Does Magpul make a front site that will work or is there another brand I should be looking at? As it stands right now, if I mount a site on the front it would appear it wouldn't be long enough. |

The Magpul sights are not intended for use on a gas block. I've heard many many times over that they will melt when subjected to the heat of a gas block.
You need a sight specifically made for gas blocks like this Troy unit, or you can replace the gas block with a taller one and use any plain front sight (EXCEPT the Magpul). |
