I was looking into getting a A3 flat-top left handed upper and BCG from Stag obviously they are sold out always and on back order. So i email them before X-mas with a few questions about the back order process ect. They still have not emailed me back. While searching Brownells I noticed they have the upper and BCG as well on back order.
Question is who would be the fastest to get it to my door? |

Don't know. Stag may get them in stock but not sell direct to you, they may send them to the dealers first. Or maybe the opposite. Everyone is swamped with orders now so its feast or femine. I would think that they would fill the back order with Brownells or other dealers first since they probably placed the order for them already so, it you were to place an order with Stag directly, you would be at the end of that list. What I did back in 2008 when we were in a similar situation was, placed an order with two different vendors and bought from whoever got it in first. I made sure that it was with a vendor that didn't charge up front and would only bill when the item showed up. Once I got the call that the back ordered item was in stock, I made sure that i called the other vendor to let them know that I found what I needed and to take me off the waiting list. I didn;t make this a common practice though and only did it for things I really wanted and had no issue waiting for. One item was an 18" Novekse .308 Upper and it took 18 months to finally get it in.. |
