I've been toying with the idea of my first pistol build / backpack gun.

I have a Lower sitting around with a JP Spring and a Hyperfire Trigger and was thinking it would be a good place to start.

After reading and rereading and reading one more time it seems most are 10.5" with a Fire Pig.

But I was thinking about a 7.5" with a 5" suppressor under an 11" rail with a VFG and the Thordsen cover.

A 7.5" suppressed would still be over 140dB, but would take the sting out of it and should feed better than a shorty with a linear comp.

What I'm looking for is from someone who's gone this route before... Pro's and Con's... Tips and Tricks to do it right the first time... Etc.

First thing I see is unless you plan on making an AOW or SBR you are not going to get to the 26 inches for a VFG with a 7.5 barrel. Just something to consider.

Good call... I didn't even think about that and I don't want to pin the suppressor.
Guess I'll have to dig out the AFG and buy another set of Noveske panels.

Be very careful on all your measurements and what pack you are using.  My 10.5 with a Sig Brace is over 30" long.  It won't fit in my packs as is.

The Law Tactical folding adapter opens up a lot of pack options that a fixed buffer doesn't.

If you want short without the huge flash, get a ~8" 300blk. Mine is 23.5" OAL. With a 20 round mag it would fit easily in a back pack or tennis racquet bag.
