My first Bushy was a bust. The round on the left side of the mag wouldn't feed. I tried everything I could find on this board and nothing worked. The nice folks at Bachman Pawn & Gun gave me a new one. Keep your fingers crossed!!! BTW, this board is awesome!! |

I had a customer who came back and told me that exact same thing. He had a BM 24" v-match with a 10rd mag. After a close inspection of his rifle and the "what ammo" question, I swapped him another new BM 10rd mag and sent him on his way. A few days later he returned with the same story. He let me keep the gun a few days so I could go shoot it. Before I touched a thing I took it out to the range and put a few rounds through with the 10rd mag. Had several rounds fail to feed. With a quick change to a USGI 20rd and BAM no more problems. Gun ran like a top! For his trouble I gave the guy 2 20rd mags, cleaned the gun and threw in a few boxes of ammo. More often than not a mag is the problem not the gun. Just my .02 |

The 3 or 4 bushy 10 rounders I have had around for 5 or 6 years always ran just fine (except for the eleventh round!) I have heard several folks talking of trouble with them in the last year or so so something could be up (or I was just lucky with the ones I have) |
The ones of today are from a different vendor. |

Good news! I am happy to report the new gun worked perfectly. I put 200 rounds through it with no problems. I used the 30 round mag that came with the first gun. I went from an angry, fat, middle-aged, white guy to a happy, fat, middle-aged, white guy!!! Now, I'll drink a toast to Mr. Stoner for designing such a fine weapon. |
LOL - yeah I second that one . Here in NJ land, thats all I been using for 7 years now. All 11 are 100% J223... |
LOTS OF TROUBLE My 2 bushmaster I bought in 1999 would jamm EVERY TIME with the shity 10rd MAG But ran 100% on any other mag and never ever jammed |
You werent around when everyone had trouble  Im sure there are OLYS out there that run good

the ones back in 1999 and threw 2001 had trouble maybe bushmaster changed the mag Good for them |

stop and hold up a second guys, didn't you hear? Bushmasters are crap, and their customer service sucks. Stoner must not have designed/made the AR-15 because Colt is the only "real" AR and all others are just clones. S&W's are WAY better than Bushmasters(bushy's are crap), and besides if your gun isn't full milspec well then it's really just a POS isn't it?... Oh wait, my mistake, i'm not one of those coolaid drinkers, and this isn't a BushyBashing thread... ain't that crazy, a problem with a simple fix that's not really at all related to Bushmaster "Sucking", who would have though?... |
CHECK MY TOPIC ABOUT THE 10 ROUND BUSHMASTER MAG I just moved here a few years back Im from IN ! Lived in the country most my Life Bought first AR15 in 1983 I got to many mags or I would take your ADVICE and buy the Pmag I always like THERMOLDs but my old 20rd COLTS are my FAVORITE |
My New Guns ( weapons or carbines) are 2yrs old now Factory LMT Defender 2000 M4 14.5 Bushmaster lower with LMT M4 14.5 upper all run 100% I like my 2 OLD Bushmasters I had They ran 100% also just not with the SHITY 10rd mag it came with |

Thank you! I put a TOPIC here 10rd BUSHMASTER MAGS So some will Understand What Im talking about ( some wont have a clue)but back in 1999 to 200? they are JUNK Now the NEWER ones form the sound of it might run good But I would never buy one when I can use my Colt 20rounders with Metal Followers |
You should toast Jim Sullivan and Bob Fremont for designing such a fine weapon. Mr. Stoner was NOT the designer of the AR-15. Gene Stoner designed only two rifles while at ArmaLite - the AR-10 and the AR-16. (Both in .308.) 5sub |
