I ordered an Eotech 512, and received it yesterday. I put the batteries in it, but was disappointed to find that the reticle is fading when it gets near the edges, and disappears completely when getting near the bottom of the window.
After doing a little research, it appears that this can happen due to an assembly error from the factory. I have sent an e-mail to customer service, we will see what happens. I am disappointed though, I certainly hope they will make this right relatively quickly.

That is disappointing but EOTech will make it right!  Have you tried fresh lithium AA batteries!?!  My guess is that it won't solve your issue but it may!  Cheaper solution than paying for shipping.  Try it first!  If not EOTech will get it squared away for you!

I have tried to change the batteries, and it didn't help. I have not heard a response from EoTech yet, but I am sure they have been closed for the New Years.
Hopefully they will get back to me soon.
