Ok so from my understanding the AWB expired in 2004. I was wondering if I still have to worry about pre band this and post ban that the reason i ask i have acquired a pre band upper and I have a post ban lower by rock river arms i was wondering can I put the pre upper on the post lower and be ok I know some states created their own similar ban... I live in Washington if it makes any difference if some one could give me some insight asap i would appreciate it.

I never heard WA mentioned as a state with a ban in place, but try checking the hometown forums.

Washington does not have a state version of the AWB.
You can use your preban upper on your post ban lower with out a problem
pre-ban or post-ban is only relevant to someone stuck in a State that has it's own version of the expired federal AWB (like NY)

Yeah.  No state version of the AWB here.  Built 3 "No-ban" ARs since the sunset with no hiccups.  Come on in, the water is fine!

Just wait...........I think you guys still have one pending in the legislature. The left side of WA is gonna ruin it for the rest of the state soon!
