I know that Blackthorne is notorious for being bad. What do ya'll think about just the barrel? If I wanted just the barrel would it be safe to purchase since there are no moving parts involved?

I don’t think the exclusion of moving parts would make or break a barrel. There are plenty of ways for a sub-par manufacturer* to screw up a barrel too.

*(Not that I’m saying Blackthorne is sub-par. I personally have no experience with them.)

That is kinda my thought but I have only heard bad things of their small parts and more or less the action. I just didn't know if they could still make a good barrel.

A friend of mine was buying a Vulcan parts Kit, I tried to stop him.
When it arrived it looked like used parts for some of it, the bolt carrier is wierd.
Looked at the barrel....20" gov't profile, thats OK....read the barrel stamp-"C MP 5.56 NATO 1/7"    ...un-f*ing believable. But, there it was, I don't know how, but it happened.
