Im looking for a 14.5 in barrel with a flash hider pinned and came across a Yankee Hill barrel. 1:7 chrome lined and fluted. around $200. Does anyone have experience with their barrels? good bad? Could anyone recommend another brand?
Needs to be 1:7 twist
chrome lined
pinned flash hider
14.5 in

Thanks.

I've built two guns with 16 inch fluted 1in 9 twist chrome lined yankee hill barrells and they both shoot great and I've had no problems with them.

Thanks.

Why?

Needs to be 1:7 twist. ––- Highly debated, unless 75-80gr lead is cheap or preferred for some reason, 1/9" is optimal.
chrome lined ––- If I was going for a barrel that heavy, I'd be going for accuracy over all else. Chrome lining can detract from that.
pinned flash hider/14.5 in  ––- Is this a Michigan thing? I'd prefer a 16" threaded. You never know, if you all vote better, you may get your class 3 rights back and want a suppressor. Indiana is nice too.

Aside from my thoughts on this choice, I hear the YHM barrels are very nice for the cash.

gee223 I don't know why esc123 wants this configuration for his barrel but 14.5 1:7 twist chromed lined is what military use'.as for the  pinned flash hider that  is the only way 14.5 is legal with out tax stamp. chrome lined barrel is more durable and you don't loose that much accuracy plus 14.5 more likely CQB not a tack driver. having two yankee hill barrels myself there not that heavy the fluting helps dissipate heat which is good for any length barrel. 1:7 twist is not limited to 75 grain plus as I think military use's 55 and 62 grain. I have 14.5 pined flash hider 1:9 twist non chrome lined sabre defense barrel that every one asked why but it shoots great and when I put a 12inch DD omega rail over it every one says cool. esc123 you also for other barrel makers I realy like my sabre defense barrel and keep in mind with pined flash hider your limited in rail and front sight options you need to plan that out first

I used their 16" 1:7 barrel on my build and I'm extremely pleased.  It's very nicely-made, and it's considerably more accurate than I am*

* though a piece of iron pipe for a barrel is considerably more accurate than I am

Thanks for the infp guys. I want 14.5  with pinned so it legal. I like chrome lined, thats whats on my DD M4 and I like how its holding up and how easy it is to clean.
