I did a search and was amazed by the varying opinions on break-in of a barrel.  I have an Colt MT6400C and since it has a chrome lined barrel, that's easy.

I also have a Bushmaster Varminter, non - chrome lined or stainless barrel, in the process of break-in per the Bushmaster advice and it's a pain.  After reading all I could including stuff on snipercountry.com, I'm confused.  Does anyone have scientific data on the proper break-in for a chrome-moly barrel?
