Hey guys! I'm new to the site and this next week I should be getting my kits from Model 1 sales. My question is whats the deal with breaking the barrel in? If you can just send me to thread that already this post going please do so (I couldn't find one thus the new thread). Or would you Guru's out there shed a little insite on this subject? Thanks guys! I greatly appreciate the information! And to everyone thats posted in here, thank you so much for all the great info n pics n experiances ya'll have had! Thanks again!! |
| break it in by lubing good so the carrier breaks in the upper.Chrome lined barrels dont need break in and after a couple hundred rounds the bore will polish out.An AR will run nice and smooth after a couple thousand rounds.Thats how I have done mine cleaning after every 500 for 2 thousand. The last time I shot I went 2 thousand without cleaning and I only stopped cause ammo ran out.The rifle is nice and smooth now. |
