| I have an S & W 15, and I want to change to a 20'' A2 barrel. I am under the impression that the reciever has cuts, but the barrel will not? Correct? Is that a problem? Thanks in advance, 9080 |

You just have to get a barrel setup that's compatible with your receiver.
If you receiver has M4 feedramp cuts, you need a barrel with them. If the receiver does not have them, the best choice is a barrel without but you can use either. Look in the ejection port at your upper receiver and the answer is there. Reference: bottom of this photo:

Green Mountain makes a 1:8 stripped barrel.
