Hi Folks.

New owner and New to AR-15's and I have a question.  I just took possession of a nice new Rock River Arms 6.8 SPC. I got it to hunt with but 6.8 ammo is a bit on the pricey side for me to plink away with.  I was told by the guy that sold it to me that the mags for standard .223's would hold 6.8 and work almosr equally well with maybe one or two shot reduced capacity.  With that in Mind, would I be able to use my 6.8 upper with only a .223 barrel exchange to use 223 ammo ur woul i also need a bolt too or maybe a complete upper?  Thanks in advance for any help or advice on this.

Welcome to the site!!

This place has a wealth of information (unless your in GD, then all bets are off ). The best way for you to tap into that info is to post your questions in the appropriate thread. There is a HUGE ammount of info about the 6.8 in this thread www.ar15.com/forums/topic.html?b=3&f=121&t=350804. If you cant find an answer to your question there, that would be the place to post a new topic on the subject.
Again, welcome to the site
