I am building a 5.56 RECCE Recon or what ever you would like to call it rifle and I need help locating a barrel.

My Specs
16" OAL
Mid Length Gas System
Medium Contour
AND
Chrome Lined or Nitrocarburized (Melonite)

So far I have come up with

CMMG (Chrome)
Superior Barrels (Hard Blue)

Any Others?

RAINER ARMS both excellent

its's not a Recce with a 16 inch tube BTW

Actually, a 16" match barrel is the only real definitive criteria of a recce.
SDM-R/SAM-R = 20"
SPR = 18"
Recon = 16"

Unless I am overlooking something neither one of them are Chrome Lined or Nitrocarburized (Melonite)

That is correct; they are stainless steel.

Problem is that is not a medium contour.  Its a modified M4 (light) contour. I am looking for a heavier barrel to minimize POI shift when using a suppressor or when things get warm.

I don't think that we are getting what it is that you are looking for.  I do know that I have a medium contour BCM stainless barrel, although that's what they call it, I think it looks like sort of a modified M4, and I haven't seen a shift in POI when the barrel gets got.  I really don't think that you need a heavy barrel for that quality.  You need a good barrel for that quality.

Get a good suppressor and POI shift will be minimal.

I am running a 556K-212. However I still would like to keep barrel whip to a minimum.
