I recently obtained a A2 20 inch military replacement barrel. The stocking label has 1005-01-146-7684 Part number is PN 9349124. Cage: 3S679. Looks like manufacture date of 04/06.
The barrel is marked 3S679 MP 5.56 NATO 1/7 Does anyone know which contractor may have made this barrel? thanks in advance |

Somebody will be along to verify the CAGE code. Only half right.. FN couldn't sell to the public. The using agency; Army, Marines, whoever, is free to dispose of surplus stock any time they want to. And that's how FN built M16 stuff ends up on the civie market.
