| I have a preban M4 Bushmaster upper, I dont believe the barrel is a Bushmaster though, the only markings it has are M 1 S with 1-9 below that. I have been told that it may be a Shaw, but I would like to know for sure what brand it is, and what the quality of it is, chrome lined or not. Any help would be appreciated. |

Not a Bushmaster barrel... I've never seen one that I know of, but M 1 S markings would lead me to believe that Model 1 Sales would be a likely suspect... might be chrome lined, might not be... | Although Model 1 could be a possibility, it would have to be very recent, like the last month or so. Model 1 just started selling chrome lined barrels a month ago. I've seen quite a few Model 1 barrels and have never seen any markings on them whatsoever. I admit, I've never seen a chrome lined Model 1 barrel, so the possibilty exists. |
| I called Model 1 Sales, and it is one of theirs, I was told that they just recently started marking their barrels, it is not chrome lined, otherwise it would also be marked HC, and the manufacturer of the barrel is E.R. Shaw. They would only tell me that the receiver was made by a current govmt. manuf. . But it is an exact image of my Bushmaster in every detail. Maybe Bushy doesnt manufacture their uppers either? |
