I bought a preban AR today at the Tulsa Arms show, was wandering if anyone may know what this stands for.  "SAK MP Chrome Bore" this is stamped on the top of the barrel. I know what the Chrome means but am stumped on the sak an mp. Any ideas?

SAK = SACO Defense, manufacturer of the M60 machinegun, among others.  This was a USGI parts-contract barrel.

MP = Magnetic particle inpsected, Proof load fired.  This is a standard test protocol, and all modern military AR barrels should be marked this way.
