I'm trading for a new upper that is 14.5" in length with an ak-74 brake permanently attached.

The upper can be found here, a little ways down the page. Item: BURA2B 14.5AK

The brake can be found here, near the bottom of the page. Item: MMT-0012A

What I want to do is get rid of the AK-74 brake and replace it with the Noveske KX3.

What I want to know is, if, once I remove the original brake and attach the KX3, will it meet the required length to be considered a rifle barrel and not an SBR?

If anyone has any pictures of a KX3 on a non SBR upper I would love to see them.

I don't own either one, but busmaster's website states that the overall length is 3 inches and Noveske's website states that the KX3 overall length is 3.28 inches. So if anything your overall barrel length just grew by 0.28 inches (plus or minus)

The shortest length you can go with a permanently attached KX3 is 13.7".  It'll be plenty long enough on a 14.5".
