The standard barrel nut i am using on my aero upper is not threading normally. When i put it on and start to twist it by hand it stops after on rotation then I can't even get it to go on any further with putting a wrench to it so i stopped. In past builds the barrel nut would just go on freely. Any ideas. Upper threads or barrel nut? Could the upper receiver be twisted on the threads?

did you grease it up? Damage industries has free shipping today. Just get another barrel nut and try it out.

i did grease it up. This is the same barrel nut that was on it before. I just was replacing the barrel. Took it off and now it won't go back on. Trying to decide if its the upper receiver being damaged or barrel nut being off.

OP
I'm not trying to be a smartaz but make sure you are threading it on the right orientation, not backwards.
There really is no good reason that it should not thread back on other than orientation or thread damage on the barrel nut or the receiver.

Yeah i have it going on the right direction. I think the barrel nut threads may be messed up. I will pick up a new on and try it

Good idea.  Try that first before contacting the manufacturer of the upper receiver.
