Please someone just im retarded and show me a simple fix. This had a NM float tube on it, and I'm trying to remove the barrel. I can't get the tapco armorers wrench to fit over the extended NM barrel nut. What do I need to do?

I'm gunna suggest a 24" pipe wrench and a new 10$ barrel nut.

Or a wide strap wrench if you intend to reuse the nut.

You can open up the inside of the wrench to fit over it.  Apparently there's special wrenches for those particular nuts.

I'd go with a pipe wrench, and a fresh GI nut.

Or sell it as-is before you ruin the parts.  Some guys are into the National Match thing.

I'm one of said persons into the national match thing.

Figured it out, simply i had to slide it on from starting before the float tube rather than trying to get it on from the top of the nut.
