After tightening and loosening barrel nut 4 times the barrel nut seems to be lining up with the gas tube hole perfectly at 30 ft lbs. Is this enough torque.

Yes...Did you properly grease the receiver threads before installing barrel nut?

yes, greased threads and barrel extension, I know 30 is on the low end of the torque range and was just wondering if it was fine to leave it there.

You are right at the low limit. I'd try to go to the next tooth if you don't have to go over 80 lbs.
If it's going to go over you can go back to the first tooth and use 30 or try another nut or use a shim
which may put you in the 40 to 60 ball park.

I have left them at 30 and not had a problem.

I brought it up to 70 last night and wasnt even close, havent tried 80 yet, took it loose and ran it back to 30 and lined up fine.

Go with 30 and call it good.
