I'm builing a new varminter with a 24 in bull barrel from JT.  WHat's the correct proces for breaking in a new barrel?

There are too many differing opinions on this.  If you want to be safe, go with what the manufacturer says.  But I always find it interesting that many High Power shooters do almost no break in as they see no point to it.  Go to www.NationalMatch.us for some good reading.

the way i did it was pretty close to what kreger's website suggested. one shot clean do that atleast 20 times then i would slowly up the shots then clean, then i would clean after every mag. and stress removeing copper! i bought some barnes CR-10 and it seems to do a good job of removeing the copper.
