I read the article on swapping one barrel for another and what i am taking from it is the headspace is set from the factory on each particular barrel. What i am wanting to do is swap barrels between UPPERS on 2 different rifles, Will i run into a head space problem here? I assume not but i thought i had better ask the experts.. Also does anyone know a good source fore a complete A1 Upper without the barrel? Just the sights and ejection door installed. Old Style without the shell deflector? Russ |

Head space is set by the barrel manufacturer when the barrel extension is attached to the barrel. So the barrel assembly can be moved from one upper to another without concern about head space. That said, you can still get a "bad" barrel assembly that has incorrect head space. But if you have a proven barrel that you know works well, you can just swap it around as you please. |
