| Hey guys. Thanks for all of the help so far. Love the sight. How difficult is it to change barrels on my RRA lar-15 entry and can I do it without taking off the muzzle brake. Its mass compliant so its welded on. Also who makes a descent 20" 1 in 8 barrell for a resonable price. Thanks in advance. |

Yes, you can change the barrel without removing the brake. It means that you can't reuse any of the components on the barrel (nut, FSB/gas block and so on).
What do you consider "reasonable" for price? What material and contour? Target crown I assume so you don't have to deal with a perma muzzle device? |

how many rounds through the old barrel? If I remember correctly, I read that if over 500 rounds <?!> you may want to put a new bolt in. I know I read something on this, but I forgot the magic round number. Inspect for wear and cracks every cleaning, no magic number. I have 1,800 through my newest since April and it is barely starting to lose finish let alone wear out. ETA: Unless you meant new bolt with new barrel, then yes. |

Yep, took me till the third reading before I got that. I was sitting here thinking "no way some dude with almost 10K posts changes his bolt every 500 rounds." |
