[ARCHIVED THREAD] - Barrel help

Looking for a 14.5" m4 profile carbine barrel, 1/8 or 1/7. It seems like every barrel I find from all the bigger names are midlength. Anyone have any recommendations?

They are all over the place.

DD, BCM, LMT, Colt to name a few with 1/7 twist. PSA might even have them. Some of the middle of the road brands have them too.

I've looked at the DD and BCM. Just trying to get some opinions/recommendations. Any thoughts on the SOCOM profile barrels?

No need for the SOCOM barrel profile in civ use. It's a tad heavier than the gov profile with little or no advantage in semi. I like DD & LMT 14.5s. Pretty accurate for a mil-spec type barrel. No complaints.
