I was wondering if anyone sells a 20 inch barrel with a mid leangth gas system?

CMMG makes 18 inch barrels with midlength gas systems, and they also make 18 inch barrels with rifle length sights and midlength gas systems (second gas block under the handguards.)

You might be able to get them to make such a barrel for you, but you'd be giving up all the advantages of a 20" barrel (longer sight radius, lower gas impulse) while gaining none of the advantages but several of the shortcomings of a shorter barrel and gas sytsem (again, shorter sight radius and higher gas impulse, plus more exposed barrel you burn yourself on).

My reasoning is i want a 18 to 20 for a varmint/hunting gun it will have a scope no iron sihts, and i want the free float tube to be long and cover most the barrel and especialy the gas block

Go to a 13.2" long handguard on a 20" barrel with rifle gas system.
You could even have a longer handguard made by White Oak or D&L as they offer basic tubes custom made in any length you want.
