Does anyone know how hot will an M4 barrel get after firing some 100 rounds in a short time period? The question I ask is because I have a lousy Oly bbl which is loosing its parkerizing, leaving various silver spots. I have repainted the bbl with a matt black spray paint intended for use on exhaust pipes. The result is absolutely awesome, my barrel now looks like brand new. I also repainted the lower receiver (originally dark grey) so it perfectly match with the upper and barrel. Wonder if the paint will last long and will withstand barrel heat. |
