I just received my Aero Precision 7.5 barrel. Before I start to tighten everything down, I figure I'll check the fit on the KX3 I intend to use. Threads on fine and bottoms out with some threads showing. That's fine. I'll go ahead and put the supplied crush washer on and try it out. Once again, it threads on fine and but the KX3 bottoms out again without ever coming in contact with the crush washer. What do I do now? Call Aero and say the threads are too long? Or do I find a longer crush washer/another washer to fill in the gap so I can tighten it down?

Thanks in advance.

How about this.
If you don't want to send the barrel back.

From the base of the barrel where the threads begin to the end of the muzzle it should measure 0.625" (5/8").

Is it new or used? Muzzle devices get carbon in the unused threads that can make them seem to bottom out early.

Everything is brand new. I'll give the threads a measurement tomorrow. I left it in my office. Now that I think about it, I have two other muzzle brakes I can try out to see if the issue is the barrel or the KX3.
