In need of some help...

Basically, I am going to be purchasing a complete upper here soon and am at a dilemma. Alot of the 14.5" and 16" M4 uppers I have looked at are not CHF. Most of the middies I have looked at are. Is it just that it's a bad time to be looking. Particularly on BCM's website(where Ill probly be buying it from), the uppers are like this. Is this normal? Alot of the LMT uppers did not specify whether they were CHF or not either... What are the differences between CHF and just Chrome Moly Vanadium of Chrome Lined? As far as I have read so far, CHF tend to give you more bangs before they go bad. Do CHF also have better accuracy etc? I was unable to find a FAQ about this in this section with Barrels in the title and the search function was not friendly to me. Just trying to work out some last minute details before purchasing.

I still haven't fully decided but so far my top spot is a 16" Mid Length 1:7 Chrome Lined CHF gov profile upper with FSB. It doesn't come with BCG, charging handle, handguards, or rear sight, but that will be the fun part.

Thanks,

Jake

Did a google search and learned about the process of CHF. its cheaper to make but machines are more expensive and it doesnt guarantee more longevity.Found out about filthy 14 and read up on it. i am sure now which upper i will be getting.
