I noticed on Barrett's web site that they currently offer the Rec7 chambered in 308 in addition to the original 6.8.  Does anyone have any experience with this rifle in the 308 chambering.  I had a Barrett M468 (direct impingement) in 6.8 and just could not come to like the rifle.

Are you sure about .308? All I see is 5.56 and 6.8 SPC

that should be a big negative. the REC7 is built on an AR-15 sized receiver. i see 5.56 and 6.8 listed on their site also but no .308, which ofcourse requires the larger AR-10 type receiver...
