For an inexpensive optic, it's decent. I have one mounted on my 16" Bushmaster, I've only shot it out to 100 yds and it works pretty well at that distance. I'm not sure if I'd use it beyond that range however, because being only 4x it's isn't a spectacular zoom. At 100, you'll have a decent magnification of your target, but don't expect to be able to see your shot placement. All in all I bought mine due to limited funds as well, and I can't say I'm dissapointed in it, and it probably won't be replaced on my rifle untill I can afford a TA31. Hope this helps |
