[ARCHIVED THREAD] - Basic upper/lower question

I have an Sabre Defence 5.56 lower. Can I just buy a 7.62 or 6.8SPC upper and slap it on to change calibers? It seems that the larger mags might not fit into the 5.56 lower.

6.8 spc will work just fine, with new mags.
