Alright,
So I'm a member of CPF, and I'm cruising through the members discount section. I found a place that has $1 CR123s and I have a discount code too so that's . Anyway, does anyone know anything about the Stellar brand or the Tenergy Propel from lightjunction.com? I'm all about the cheap and discount, but not if they're crap.

| I would stick with the reputable name brands. I have seen way too many pictures in the last couple of years of chinese made lithium batteries that have caught on fire or leaked and ruined the flashlight/weaponlight they were in. The manufacturers for most products will only warrant the product if the batteries are a trusted company. I would stick with Panasonic, Surefire, or Energizer. |

You can get Ray-O-Vac's from $1.35 from Battery Junction (plus their CPF discount) or check out the deals Marsh (primaryarms.com/) or Kevin (Brightflashlights.com) can come up with. |
| Avoid Chinese batteries. It's false economy. Poorer quality and generally more dangerous, especially in multiple cell flashlights. Don't let your cheapness get the best of you here. Shop around and find your best possible deal on US made batteries. From my searching of CPF on this topic, it seems like one or two made-in-china brands may now have acceptable quality control, but the two you mentioned ain't them. |

Yeah Primary Arms has Surefire 12pk for $21 shipped. At that price I don't look elsewhere. Yeah, I buy my Surefire brand batteries locally for around the same price. A few years back one of my 6Ps got destroyed from a vented battery-I didn't know the dangers of cheap 123s back then. Considering the cost of my weaponlights in particular I don't take chances any more-it's Surefire or other name brand US made batteries for me. Posted Via AR15.Com Mobile |
