Looks like a few rounds hit the comp?

Update: Rainier Arms came through as expected and exchanged it no questions asked. The battlecomp seemed to be one that slipped through QC I assume. They even left me a voicemail saying they received my 'defective' battlecomp in the mail.

So morale of the story is do business with awesome dealers like RA.

What battle comp is that?  Looks different than the one I have.  No, that is not normal and should not be doing that.  It is mis-aligned somehow.  Either the comp is defective or somehow it is mis-aligned on the barrel.  My guess would be the comp is out of spec.

Where did you buy it?  If it wasn't from a reputable source, my money is on it being airsoft.  There are plenty of airsoft parts that look just like the real thing.

ETA: After more digging, the front of that thing doesn't look like any Battlecomp listed on the site. The versions with the recessed end baffle have a notched rim.

And aren't the holes on the 1.5 that are past the baffle area closed?

Its the 1.5 and I got it from rainier arms.

Barrel is a Daniel defense 11.5".

About 500 rounds through it. 193, 855, m196 and american eagle 55gr 223

Why the 1.5 on the 11.5? Who put it together?

I got it in case I want to perm it to a 14.5 gun. The a2 is on the 11.5 now. I put it together.

Its probably an out of spec hole.  Contact BattleComp or the company you purchased it from.

Well it looks like the one I have is different from the pictures. There are holes around the baffle in the inside(mine doesn't) and there are 4 notches around the end of it which mine also does not have.

I got this from rainier arms could it have slipped by and it be likely that it is a fake?

Do you have pictures of the rest of your comp? Rainier Arms is a company that you can trust 100%,  did anyone install it for you.

If you got it from Rainier, then it's probably a legit piece that slipped past QC.

Rainier is good people and wouldn't sell you a fugazi.

I know Rainier is a great company I've done business with them before. I installed it myself.

Awesome. Did y'all come to a conclusion as to what the issue was? Bad install, ammo, or comp? Nevermind, I re-read the OP.
