Does anybody know anything about a company called Bean Firearms?  impactguns.com has a piston AR of theirs for sale at $1,999.99, but I can't find any info about them anywhere.  The gun itself looks like a typical AR, but I'd hate to drop 2 grand and find out it's got a serious carrier tilt issue or any other problem.  Any info would be greatly appreciated.  Thanks.

That is way more than I'd be willing to spend.

I would hang onto your dollars and get an LWRC when they start flowing into shops in 6-8 months. IMHO they offer the best piston AR on the market.

good point.  I just can't believe how quickly the supply has dried up.  My hope is that all these gun bans get held up in Congress and the courts long enough for the supply to be replenished some, then I can FINALLY get my hands on one

What?!?! Your hope should be that opposition to a ban is so overwhelming that legislation never even makes it to a vote, Congress moves on to other things, and the firearms industry goes back to normal.

Lighten up Francis, he misspoke.  He's just preparing for the worse, but hoping for the best.

you're right.  my hope should be that, but i've completely lost faith in the government.  i trust the GOP no more than the dems.  i know there's a lot who are saying that neither house of Congress has enough votes for a ban to go through, but these people don't care about the Constitution or how our system should work.  if they can't find a way, they'll invent one if they're serious about this.

I've never heard of Bean Firearms, they might be a bit gassy.

I have seen the Bean rifle that runs 2k at Impact, they have one out on the counter for display.  I didn't see anything about it that justified the price.  The one thing that stood out was the gap between the rail system and the upper.  It just looked bad, if you see the low quality picks on Impacts website it is big enough to make it out.  It doesn't scream quality like you would expect in a rifle for that price.

you definitely just helped me make up my mind on it.  a few models are starting to pop back up on Impact, so i guess i just gotta be patient.

Impact guns has a store nearby where I live.  I have handled one of these and certainly wouldn't pay that price for one.  Impact guns is one of the more expensive large online gun retailers.  Just about anything they have can be found elsewhere cheaper.  They were one of the first online retailers to jack prices up, even on existing inventory.

glad I can finally get some feedback from people who have handled these.  i hope by summer the supply of quality piston guns gets replenished some.
