I'm on my first AR build and looking for a good, inexpensive barrel. I came across a nice one from DPMS. Do they make good barrels? Or is there a better inexpensive one around $150 or so?

There are alot of good barrels in that price range. The dpms will work just fine. My first m4 profile barrel was a stag arms barrel, I think I paid exactly $150 as well. That barrel is still going strong.

This is the first barrel I bought that I was talkin about. Still 150.

Green mtn and blackhole weaponry both make decent barrels for that price range.

First Post on Group.

With all the discussion on PSA I was a little concerned.  Got wife a S&W Sport, she wanted light weight.  Owned a colt Hbar A2 in past.  Looked at Mossberg but in the end not comfortable.  Talked to my local gun shop and the guy I spoke to said PSA had good stuff.

So ordered a blemished 16" CHF complete upper.  Called Customer service to fix a duplicate order, they were very helpful and fixed no issue.

Complete barrel & upper arrived 3 days later.  Still can't find a blemish.  Lower going to FFL, once in I'll report back on how it shoots.  So far good experience, fingers crossed.

Thanks Cameron

Red Barn Armory Barrel

This find was posted in another thread yesterday.  At $70 it looks like a great price.
