I'm getting into reloading and was wondering what people are using to hold their ARs while shooting to check the accuracy.  Was interested in the Lead Sled2, but all these rests don't seem to have enough room for the magazine on the bottom and are more tuned to bolt action rifles.  Also, the lead sleds are a bit pricey and maybe there is a more economical solution, as I typically want to shoot to improve my technique, and not test the accuracy of the bullets once I have my recipe finalized.

I use the Caldwell Rock and a sandbag.  Seems to work just fine.

The cheapest would be regular old sand bags.  They work just as well as my Sinclair rest does.  Our club keeps a bunch of old shot pellet sacks full of sand near the benches.  Save us the hassle of hauling around 40 pounds of rest/bags when we want to get some quick bench work in.

I also use a 20rd mag or even a 10 rounder for bench shooting.  Gets rid of that unused length of the 30 rounders.
