I decided to start my first AR build!!

I am planning a Zombie Destroyer in .50 Beowulf. I have had the Spikes Tactical stripped lower with the Punisher logo for a whole. I also ordered the Spikes Enhanced Lower Kit and are awaiting the arrival of that.

The gun is going to be all black with dark earth accents. Today I started by painting the graphics on the lower

I am using Testors paint and am not careful with staying in the lines. I plan on wiping the excess away with thinner.

This is going to be a loooong process because I plan on using only top of the line (Made in America) stuff and it's going to be expensive!!

I'm excited!

Looks sharp. I am debating on filling my Punisher lower when I get it next week.

Looks good

May I ask why Beowulf? As opposed to .458 SOCOM, or any of the other big bores?

I am assuming that you researched the options before dropping that much$$$$.

There are several threads that discuss the merits of each but most of the replys are "my chambering is best, because that is what I have." Type answers

IBeowulf is a true .50 Cal and  used by the Military and i think that's cool... No real science there, its just a choice i made and want to stick with.

I've never seen an account of the military using .50 Beo, who's using it?

.458 is in use.

Are you referencing future weapons as a source?/

I ordered everything in ODG but found out that PSA sent me a grip in dark earth! I emailed them but no response yet...

The buffer and buffer spring i have are both "standard" m4/ar-15 ..

What are your thoughts on upgrading these to a heavier spring and say a Spike's St-t2 buffer?
