Anybody out there have any recomendations for a good brake on a Beowulf?? I have the Entry upper and I'm looking at the Tromix brake or the AA version; although I'm not sure if 'glueing' on a brake is a good idea! Any experiences would be great! |

I have the AA muzzle brake (factory installed). I have not shot a .50 Beo without a brake so I cannot comment on the recoil reduction. What I can tell you from trying a few shots after dark... the AA brake does not have much of a flash signature. From the shooter's perspective, with my Lil' gun reloads, I could not see any muzzle flash at all. My brother, standing to the side, said he could see slight muzzle flash coming from the ports. Now I don't know if you can attribute this to the AA brake or the fact the fast burning Lil' gun pistol powder has mostly been consumed by the time the bullet leaves the barrel. If this is the case, I suppose you wouldn't need any muzzle attachment, just get the barrel ported to help with recoil. As far as the AA brake, I personally like the looks of a phantom or vortex better, but I do have a lot of comments on how cool it looks (the .50 does draw a crowd at the range!). Scott |
