[ARCHIVED THREAD] - Best AR15 kit value

I'm in the market for a new beater rifle. I built about a dozen ARs back in the pre-Klinton-ban days using PWA lowers and FN parts kits from Model 1 or M&A or somebody like that (honestly can't remember), two of which I still have. I checked Model 1's site recently and they appear fairly expensive these days, especially with lower-end factory complete (DPMS) guns going for under $700. Where is the go-to place today for a decent value on parts kits?

+1 on Palmetto.. only drawback with them is they sell stuff in bulk. They put good stuff put they run a batch of upper and that's the way they sell them. Keeps costs down.

M&A, model 1 and J&T, they build stuff to your specs.

Have to agree with the afore mentioned suggestions. Got some J&T stuff awhile back . Very good. Also have had great luck with PSA

law-guns.com has a 16" kit on sale for $500. Just add stripped lower and sights.

I have used Model 1 sale,com and been happy with them for kits but most of mine are not from kits I like having my own specs, on triggers and float tubes
