I know that ARFcom has some great info, and thanks again FALARAK for all the great pics and instructions. Unfortunately I don't have internet access at the house, and I'm looking for a good reference to build an AR at home.
I'm looking for the equivalent of the Jerry Kuhnhausen 1911 books, only on the AR of course.
Any suggestions?
Thanks

I don’t know of anything that quite matches Kunhausen’s truly astounding books.

However, for a basic AR built see “The AR-15 Complete Assembly Guide” by Walt Kuleck and Clint McKee.

If you’re interested in more advanced modifications to AR’s, see “the Complete Guide to AR-15 Accuracy” by Derrick Martin and Barrett Tillman.

Also, don’t forget to download a copy of the US Army’s technical manual – TM 9-1005-319-23&P.

Thanks, I was actually looking at the Kuleck/Mckee book, I guess that's about as good as they get in the AR world. I wish someone would write one like the Kuhnhausen books for every gun! I'm currently building a Govt. from a Caspian frame and slide, and I couldn't even begin this project without those books. The M4A4 project is next, so I'm trying to get some manuals lined out.
Thanks again.

The military armorer manuals are good as well.
