New to AR's  and this forum I recently purchased a Smith & Wesson Perfomance shop AR 5.56.  First what would be a short list of ammo to achieve the higest degree of accuraccy at 100 yds.  Second a short list of good plinking ammo.  Third which bullit grain should be used for greatest accuracy at 50, 100,  200, 300 yards.  Fourth, Best customer oriented internet ammo vendor.

What a great Forum!!!

Thanks in Advance

I got a S&W M&P Talo with the Lothar Walther barrel, match trigger and aluminum hanguard with the Ace skeleton stock and I have been just getting to a loading session to come up with a perfect 200 yard handload but believe it or not with that rifle a magazine of twenty rounds in steady fire of the Remington UMC stays in two inches at 100 yards and the 50 gr. HP Federal VP stuff is less than that so if you got the same gun there are two tested factory loads that do it for me.As to price Walmart is the lowest now but increases to come and today's hundred dollar a barrell  oil price is a bad foreboding of things to come, buy now while you can somewhat affordably.

Don't drive yourself insane trying to find the magic load for yor rifle unless you're reloading. Because there are variations in manufacturing from lott to lott, you may find that the same brand of ammo shoots a little differently from case to case. Even match grade ammo can experience a shift in group location between cases and brands. At 100 yards I don't see much different in pratical accuracy between non match ammo in any of my AR's so I shoot Wolf. At ranges greater than 100 yards Wolf groups are twice the size of any good brass cased ammo. The last military match I shot my M-16 was holding a 5" group at 300 yards with M855 so you should be able to get comparable accuracy from your rifle.
