| I'm looking for a good 6 position collapsible stock. Looking at either LMT or Magpul. I'm just looking for a standard one. The one I have now has a lot of play in it. I need one that's good and tight and will be able to take some punishment. Any recommendations would be great. If you have actual experience with one i.e. use in field conditions and how it held up, that would be a big help. TIA |

I have the SOPMOD thats on my LMT M4 ROCK SOLID and FEELS THE BEST On my back up LMT M4 with Bushy lower I used a VLTOR 1st model ( YUCKY ) I would love the NEW VLTOR its made like the SOPMOD sort of? Has a better feel and CHEAPER than SOPMOD MAGPUL is nice also? New VLTOR TELE or The OLD SOPMOD |
| Thanks for the info. The LMT SOPMOD is a little expensive for my taste. Recently saw the new E-Mod VLTOR. I like that one so I might just go ahead and get it, if I can find one in stock. From what I've read on here it seems to have a good lock up and looks beefy enough to take some punishment. |

The CTR is the best stock out there right now for those who want a solid replacement for the factory collapsable. The CTR locks up tight, no rattle no movement, and it has the QD point built in. The SOPMOD and VTOR modstocks are very good stocks, but the storage compartments aways feel to bulky. YMMV as I shoot NTCH |
HOW does the CTR COMPARE to the NEW VLTOR ?? I want to get rid of my VLTOR myself |
yes I love the LMT SOPMOD the NEW VLTOR looks like they DID it RIGHT THIS Time |

I like the CTR quite a bit. Specifically I like the geometry of the buttplate. The hourglass shape seems to fit my shoulder pocket better. Most of the time I shoot using the Vltor clubfoot stock. (It's on my carbine that I have the most experience with.) I've had no issues with the older Vltor. Some may say that it's loose, but I never seem to notice while shooting. |
