I am doing an spare no expense AR build. I am trying to decide on a trigger and seem to be all over the place. Only guidelines are Single stage, constant with Mil spec ammo, and would like to be a 4lb break, and would prefer it not to have adjustment screws that could come loose.
So with that in mind I have been looking at Spikes Trigger, LWRC Trigger, Accuracy Speaks Trigger, and I am intrigued by the Wilson Combat TTU. Obviously with the $ for the last two I would like some input. |

I have some experience with the Spike's and Accuracy Speaks units.
For a 3 Gun or precision unit, I would go with the Accuracy Speaks. Please read the instructions that come with it to fit the trigger to your safety/lower. You might need to work on the disconnector, or buy a new one. No bigger in my mind, but others might think differently. People whose opinion I trust have tested the Wilson Single Stage TTU and have come away impressed with it. Pricey, though. |

With that in mind would you still recommend the AS? |

With that in mind would you still recommend the AS? Then the Spikes Nickle Boron Trigger Group is fine. You can get a solid 5.0lb trigger with it. Some creep will be there, as well and overtravel and a longish reset because it is a std. FCG. If you want lighter you can try some JP springs and see if you like them. |

I am unfamiliar with the Company but I have heard in several posts that the LWRC Enhanced NiB LPK is better than Spikes. And several places seem to hold LWRC in very high regard quality wise. But I cant seem to find much about them on here. Anyone have opinions of them?
Also to throw another wrinkle in. How would the Spikes or LWRC compare to a Bill Springfield modified Mil Spec Trigger? |

Maybe I got lucky but the best trigger I own came in the all-stainless AR-Stoner LPK Midway sells. Most everybody who pulls it believes it cost a fortune. ETA: if you have 5 minutes and know how to rub 2000grit sandpaper on sharp edges you can do your own 'trigger mod'. |

But for $35, it's a damn good unit. You will know why we complain about our Springfield trigger jobs once you have put 1000-2000 rounds downrange with yours and it all of the sudden turns into an "Oh Shit!" trigger. |

No AR-!5 has a Mil-Spec FCG. The closest you can come to it is a GA DMR what? I think what he's trying to say is the AR15 version of the trigger is missing a couple of parts that a military issued M16 would have, and therefore is not truly mil spec.

Obviously with the $ for the last two I would like some input. Look at the McCormick (sp)? trigger drop in. 4lb pull. Nice trigger. I have over 15K pulls on one with out any problem. Ignites any .mil primer...running two other rigs with this trigger w/o any problems... No adjustment screws... ETA...I hate double stage triggers in any of my "active" ARs... |
