I've always been an iron sight or Eotech guy up until a couple of months ago when I purchased a TA31 ACOG (YEEHA!).

I'm heading out to Front Sight tomorrow and just realized I forgot to pick up some Locktite to toss on the mounting screw.

Which type to buy? I know there are several varieties and don't want to screw up by putting some industrial strength stuff on there that will permanently bond my TA31 to my ARMS 19S.

One other question while we're talking about Locktite...do you guys put any sealnt onn the screws for your RAS II's? I haven't noticed a problem with it shooting loose or anything but I thought I might head the problem off at the pass. Leave it be or put some on?

Thanks, guys.

I use blue locktite on all small screws (unless they need to be permanent, then it's red).

I'm using the purple on small screws. This is what came with my ARMS SIR for threadlocker.

Purple

OEM specified. Low strength threadlocker designed for fasteners under 1/4" (6mm) that require occasional adjustment. Removable with hand tools for easy disassembly. Noncorrosive.
