All right , I'm here to ask the hivemind what is the best Muzzle brake/flash hider on the market.......inquiring minds want to know...

Me, I don't like the big ass JP tank brake, I have quite a few brakes for different rifles, but for my AR15, I went with OPS Inc. brake for their cans.  It may not work as well as the Primary Weapons brake, but I like its looks better and it's not as loud.

Flash suppressor, I hear Blackout works even better than the Vortex...

The PWS.com brake is also a good flash hider eventhough the ATF calls it a compensator.  On full auto thr rifle does not rise and is easly controllable.  They run about $100.00

I don't think the Phantom acts as a comp all that much. It does suppress the flash very well. It is supposed to be like 95% or so.

That being said here is a video of the vortex

Most full-sized silencers do both very well.

i read what i think was a magazine article where a guy had a rig that he was testing recoil reduction with compensators. there were a couple rigs that were basically a kart that held an ar with a remote trigger mechanism and he'd measure how far back the kart would move once fired.

anyone have a link to this?
